New Life for an Old Landmark
The Pavion site and the former Wet n’ Wild factory location on South Franklin between Cedar Hill and Hudson Aves. is about to get a new life as rental apartments.

The project comprises 133 housing units located in two three-story buildings. One of the buildings will be on Franklin St. and Cedar Hill Ave. and the other building on the east side of the property. They will contain studio, one and two bedroom rentals.

Of those 133 units, 13 will be affordable and the rest mid-priced. The project includes 70 indoor and 142 outdoor parking spaces available for tenants and guests. The developer will be adding up to 20 additional parking spaces on Franklin.

The new Pavion development will include several work/live spaces—the type clamored for at numerous village board meetings over the past several years — complemented by new commercial space along Franklin Street.

The unpaved South Nyack Esposito Rail Trail will be extended through the property. Other amenities to be provided by the developer include the daylighting of the Nyack Brook, a small public park, a swimming pool, clubhouse, green roof and a rain garden.
